Policies and Procedures
Return Policy:
Fall and Spring semester textbook returns may be returned during the first week of classes.
Summer sessions have a shorter return window, please contact the UC Merced Campus Store
for further information.
1. Present the original cash register receipt.
2. Do not mark or write in the book. (New books must remain the the original condition.)
3. Last day to return your book will be indicated on the original receipt.
Textbooks purchased new and returned with bent or dirty corners, or with writing inside are not eligible for refund.
School supplies or imprinted gifts may be returned within 30 days as long as the original receipt is included
and the item is in the same condition as when purchased.
Calculators are not returnable.
Electronics can be returned within 30 days of purchase and its original packaging is not opened.
Receipt must also be present for the return.
There are no returns on clearance items.
There will be a 4% restocking fee to offset credit card fees. Where applicable, shipping charges will be assessed.
Returned Checks:
The UC Merced Campus Store accepts personal checks. If the check is returned, the check writer will no longer be
able to use checks as a method of payment with the College Store; however cash payments (i.e. cash, credit card,
cashier's check, money order, or CatCard) will be acceptable payments for future transactions. There will be a $20
fee for any check with non-sufficient funds. Contact will be made with the check writer, and compensation for the
NSF check plus the amount that was payable on the check will be made.

The UC Merced Campus Store is dedicated to providing you with as many options to purchase product from our
store. Due to security reasons, we will not accept a credit card number over the phone. This is to protect you
and your credit card information. Our website is the best option to place a secure order from our store without
