Instructions to Reserve Textbooks Online
|

Below are step-by-step instructions for first time reservers.
Please follow each step carefully and completely to ensure that your order is processed.
If you did not receive an email after placing an order, we did not receive your order,
and please refer back to the instructions to complete the process in its entirety.
The Information on our website is current and is the ONLY information available at this time.
ISBNs and editions will be posted in the Kolligian Library one week prior to classes starting.

How to Place a reservation:
|
Returning users can log-in with their email address and password
*note: The sign-on is different than your UCM net-ID.
This means, you will have to register with us.
|

How to register:
|
1. Click on "log-in"
2. Click on "Register Here"
3. Click on "Creat profile for Browsing and Shopping"
4. You will need to fill all required information.
5. After submitting your information, the system will automatically sign you in.
You will then be able to reserve your textbooks.

Reserving:
|
|
1. Log-in, if you haven't done so already
|
| |
2. Click on "Textbooks"
|
|
3. Select the correct term (if the site has not done so already).
Then select the courses you are taking Click "Continue to get Course Materials"
|
|
4. Select which section you are enrolled in. Note that it is imperative to select the correct
section, because some sections may have different course materials than others.
Click on "Continue to get Course Materials."

|
5. A page will pop-up with pictures of textbooks (if there are no pictures, enable cookies
and refresh). You will then select which books you want by adding them to your "Shopping Cart."

6. When you are done selecting your course materials, Scroll down and click on "Shopping Cart"
This will bring you to another page, where you can select whether or not you want new or
used books.

7. Check the quantity in your cart to make sure everything is correct.
|

8. If everything seems to be in order, click on "Continue to Check Out."
|
|
9. Then you will have a page where it asks you if you want to update your order (if the
faculty has added more course materials.) Once that is done, click on "Continue
to Checkout."

|
10. This will bring you to a page where you put your payment information in. After you
double-check your billing and/or shipping address, click "Continue."

11. This will bring up the "Shipping Method" screen
Most students select "Pick up at Store."
Click continue. |
|
12. This will bring you to the "Order Summary" page. Review it, and then click "Continue."
|
|
13. This will bring you to the "Payment Selection" page. We accept Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, and Discover. You also have the option to pay at the store.

14. Click "Submit Order" This will bring up your reciept with the "Confirmation Number",
which you should print out and save for your own records. |

Shortly after sumbitting your order, you will receive an "Order Confirmation" email.
If you do not receive this email, we did not receive your order.
|

Pick-up Information:
|
Once your order is packed, you will receive an email from us stating pick-up
times and dates. Please have your CatCard available when picking up
textbook reservations.

ISBNs:
|
We do not give out ISBNs over the store. They will be available in the glass
case outside the store. |
| |
Payment method:
|
You can place your credit card information online, or you can pay in the store
via cash, check, credit/debit card, or CatCard (funds need to be available on
your Flex Account. |

Returns:
|
Last day for Spring '10 returns is January 22nd, 2010.
Proof of this is obtained through the Students First Center. |

Return Policy for Textbooks:
|
Fall and Spring semester textbook returns may be returned during the first
week of classes. Summer sessions have a shorter return window.
Please contact the UC Merced College Store for further information.
For Returns:
1. Present the original cash register receipt.
2. Do not mark or write in your book.
New books must be in new condition.
3. Return the book during the return period time frame.
Textbooks purchased new and returned with bent or dirty corners,
or with writing inside are not eligible for refund.
